RESOURCES - to inspire, remind, touch ("mini meds")
It can be helpful, when you are relaxed and open, to write yourself a list of ways you can remind yourself to remember and rediscover this attitude when you seem to be up against things. You might make a list of internal and external resources. Internal things like: remembering to slow down enough to hear your own breath; remembering to bring your attention into the body, such as feeling the weight of your body where it meets the floor, chair etc; spreading your attention to include more, such as including the sensations of your arms and legs. And external things like: having a cup of tea and a sit-down; having a bath; looking out of a window; going for a walk; hugging a friend (human, or animal, a teddy, or even a tree); doing heart dialogue; and so on.
Here are some short recordings I've made on my phone incase it ever supports you to hear someone else (me in this case) reminding you how to "come home".

Some Words of Post Retreat Advice:
I felt to say to you all - incase it’s helpful to hear again - how difficulty cannot truly be met without being experienced as difficulty. The habitual mechanism of the compulsions/self-rejections/doubts/bypassing is necessary, until it isn't ... and slowly, slowly, as your relationship with your inner guidance, your inner wisdom grows in confidence and you realise yourself as loving presence, you can allow the difficulty to exist and be included. It will sometimes feel like going through the eye of the needle, almost impossible, like that “Why have you forsaken me?” moment. i.e. - Nothing is Wrong if the difficulties arise again when you are back in your life. Each time is another opportunity to relate to the experience. And we cannot effectively force anything to open, to soften, if any kind of “should” is involved. ie, the message is Be Kind, Be Curious, Relax. |

I have been bringing the "TRI-BRAIN" Birth into Being process into my workshops - here is a recording of me introducing it, during the "For Love" retreat, April 2017, at Eden Rise (you can hear cows in the back-ground: they very much accompanied us in our journey that week).

STILL FEELING STUCK?
A while ago I participated in workshops with Joy Hicklin-Bailey (http://secretgarden.eu.com) and can highly recommend her work. On this resource page I particularly want to draw your attention to a recorded meditation she sells on her website, which encourages us into our energy body and invites all stuckness move, and come back to an embodied alive stillness. It's an hour well spent, on your own or with others, especially if there is something you can't seem to let go of. You start this meditation standing, then move to lying down (have a mat ready), then to sitting. There are several periods of silence towards the end, with Tibetan bells (3 close together signal the end of the recording). www.secretgarden.eu.com/product/secret-garden-aliveness-moving-stillness-listening-meditation/ |
At Grow the Grown Ups 2016, Tarisha Seligman visited us to sing some of her songs with us down in the Garden at Embercombe.
Here are the recordings I made on my phone. You can buy Tarisha's music on her website: www.tarisha.co.uk |
